absolutely they are, it is those circumstances that very well could have put them in those situations. GOD bless you and I hope that you never find yourself in shoes such as these.

Come to San Diego, there's absolutely, positively NO homeless people here! In fact, the city randomly asks people on the street to state their home address--and if they stutter, even for half a second, they get loaded onto paddy wagons and dropped off in the middle of the desert! It's a fantastic, all-American way to spend tax dollars!! In fact, just last week they did a whole segment about this on Fox News!

Just curious...do they just sweep them under the rug or move the homeless to another town so not to give San Diego a bad name or do they take care of their homeless. There must be some especially with this economy. You lose your job then home and then wham you lose your right to stay in San Diego?
Sounds a bit harsh to me if someone stutters....sounds strange that someone would be dropped off in the desert and if so how sad is that.

I think (I hope) that guy was being factitious.

Our town is very kind to the down and out. We have a homeless shelter nearby and many thrift stores to help the poor.

You see, anyone could be in this spot someday, so you should thank God every day you get to live a fabulous life, go to a job, take a shower, have 3 squares and a warm, clean bed. There are many who do not and they don't need contempt.

The next time it's freezing cold and you're cozying up to your fireplace, or just turning the thermostat up a bit, remember those who have not.

Yes, I was.
I originally meant 'facetious', of course, but I guess you had some people going here!
