Glad about that! Still don't understand why he just doesn't nicely propose and then take her where the rings are and let her pick the one she really likes. She might hate all of them!

I agree. Women are very particular about these types of things. He could always find out what she likes in a round about way if he really put in the effort.

he does, but he didn't like the answers he was gettings, so he started another thread on the same topic!
LOL

When he doesn't like the responses he gets, he starts a new thread with the same question. Sort of like that definition of craziness that goes "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"

...yeah....they're different threads because the questions posed are different (comparing different set of rings)....although similar. but i guess you need to actually 'read' both questions before figuring that out....i know you're not a big fan of 'reading' though...so no worries.

plus, if you don't like what you see here, nobody is forcing you to stay. Shoo...Shoo! bad monkey! baaaaaaad monkey!

i agree, definitely most women prefer to help pick out their own ring, it is thoughtful and respectful and considerate to be included, plus it is really romantic to shop for it together.

then again....maybe he'll start a third thread!

Whew, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I'd rather have real estate. Or a new bike.

it's a sensible, highly advised, smart notion that the OP seems vehemently opposed to, for reasons we are all wondering about....why doesn't he have her help pick it out? What part of "including her in the decision" is repugnant?
