I am looking for furniture stores in central/Norther NJ where I can test out and buy the ergonomic kneeling chairs. Staples and office depot don't seem to carry them.
Also, any tips regarding the selection/purchase of these chairs are highly appreciated. Thank you.
I had one of these chairs and I had to get rid of it. After a few days of using the chair, my shins felt bruised from my weight tilting forward onto them. It wasn't comfortable at all.
Get one with back support if you tend to slouch in your chair!! I love my kneeling chair but I wish I had bought the one with a back.
The ones that have a round rocking chair bottom that lets you change the angle of your legs will be less stressful on your knees!
It is good to try one first, but kneeling chairs are a good buy. I have used one for over 10 years and it has helped keep my back good and strong. The weight is evenly distributed on my buttocks and shins, so there isn't much pressure on my shins or knees!
You do need to get used to them though, and when you do you will always sit up straight! I like the ones with the backs also, as occasionally it is nice to rest back, and even put your feet up on the chair.
