1. I do not like the new LED lights as much. The white is light blue, and the blue is really neon. Although the energy saving part is great... I am just not getting used to them. The incandescents just look way better to me. What about you all?

2. I have never ever bought any christmas decoration full price. Best score, last year, pre-lit 7 foot tree - $25.

3. Inflatables - do you like or not?

4. Tips for organizing and storing all this stuff!

Don't own any LEDs because I don't like the colors either.
I don't spend money on things I don't like...

I store all my decorations in Rubbermaid bins, by room.
Easy to put away, easy to pull out.

I got some LED's last year after Christmas, they remind me of those headlights on some cars you see that are a different color.

I forgot how much my tree cost, but it was a after Christmas special and I saved a lot...I never pay full price for any Christmas decorations.

I really do not like inflatables... I think they just look tacky, but that's only my opinion.

Organizing and storing... rubbermaid containers for non/least breakable stuff... coat closet for expensive Dept 56 stuff.

We bought a load of LED's last year and I regret it. They just don't seem to have the same look. I dunno how to explain it.

I like the real trees better too, but I have a family of firemen... so no real trees for us, otherwise we are subjected to the horror stories.
Are they still making the incandescents - I hope they don't get legislated out of existence. I can see people who do the mega yard displays liking them as they would cut down significantly on your electric bill.
I have the leds on my indoor tree this year, I am sticking them outside next year where at least I don't have to look at them so much. yuck.
Also, what happened to those ball ornaments that had the satin thread around them? I could not find any this year, did they stop making those?! I am seeing cheapo plastic balls instead.
Also, does anyone remember years ago they used to have these bead ornament kits, that consisted of beads and a styroform form and pins and you would stick the sequins and tassles and stuff on the styrofoam form. they were really pretty. Could not find those in the craft stores... anyone?
merry christmas...

Yeah, I don't like those inflatables much either. Even though we have them, a certain member of our family who does the outdoor decorating does like them. We have 2 very small ones.

I did just find some ornament kits online, I looked a few years ago and found none. They can be pricey though I am finding. Also found satin balls online. cool.

I found some good "unbreakable" balls at Walmart, they look like real ones to me, but they are NOT glass and wont shatter because they are some kind of plastic. That is handy when you have a cat.
