I just got this new office chair and it seems really stiff as opposed to my last chair which is really soft are all new office chairs like this?

A work chair is one of the most important furniture purchases. Find one with as many different adjustments as possible and be willing to spend a little more for it. Last time I bought one I tried every chair in five different stores before returning to the ones I found most comfortable, then narrowed it down from there. These days most office chairs are total cr-p, including a lot of the expensive ones.
