Don't need milk yet either or cheese. I'm low on pet food though. :-))
Now pet food- that's just as bad.... because now I am buying beter food for my dog and cat than for us- so it's raising the bar on what we eat...

But have you noticed that specials that are run on Coke and Pepsi now? I paid $11 for 60. How can they produce the product, the package, transportation and spend the massive marketing dollars, yet sell it for like 18 cents a can?!

Angry A Gallon of Milk in Atlanta GA

I went to the store yesterday to purchase ingredients for a birthday cake... total was about $60.

I could have sworn the gallon of milk I purchased was $5.99 - I guess I am still in shock and hope it was an error. It was Mayfield brand.

I am going back tomorrow to confirm, I still cant accept that a gallon of milk goes for 6 bucks....

My husband and I live in Maine. We moved from Wisconsin 12 years ago. A gallon of milk is over $4.oo and gas is about $3.69. It will be about 3 more years before out youngest is out of the house. BUT my hubby and I ARE moving back to Wisconsin. We miss that state so badly.

Milk has never been price based on supply and demand its always had price support by government.

Milk is under $2 a gallon in SE MI, in several locations. My local Aldi has it under $2, but a ghetto one I go to typically has it at $2.29. Kroger has gallons at $2.49, including chocolate

I get my milk at Costco or BJ's and it is anywhere from 2.79 to 2.99 per gallon. However, Walmart and Giant sell a gallon of milk for $4.69 (Giant actually advertises that there is a $1 savings) and Safeway is about $3.69. Since I needed Cheerios today, I got the milk for free at BJ's. Gas is 3.42 at BJ's and 3.48 to 3.51 at other places. In other words, outrageous.
