I know this is a very far fetched topic but I beilive chain stores should be complety illegal or at least limited to 10 outlets in order to reinstall vibrancy and community in American towns with mom an pop shops.

You are absolutely right.

It is very far-fetched.

I agree, they should be illegal (though I doubt that'll ever happen). Give me mom and pop shops/restaurants any day over chains. When you're from NYC, you realize how much better the local stores are compared to chains. What makes chains so special? They're everywhere. With mom and pop stores, they're more special since they can specialize in whatever they want. Chain stores should be outlawed in NYC metro.

Absolutely insane idea. The problem is you can't pick and choose.

You may not like chains, but there's a reason why they succeed.

Because enough other people like them and they support them for their own reasons.

^^Yeah, people from small towns and sprawling cities who are so used to them and that's all they mostly know.

Of course it will never happen, but I'm just saying it would be nice.
