I'm not adventuresome. I just shop at WalMart and have always gotten great deals and a more than easy return/replace policy.

I haven't had issues with Best Buy specifically in terms of purchasing items but have had a problem with the Geek Squad. I just don't think their operation is very efficient or particularly reliable. I'm sure plenty of people had perfectly acceptable experiences with BB and GS but I did not. There's no need for me to go into the details of my problem with GS but in the end my issue was only resolved by going through their website message board to complain (along with many others) and a BB rep resolved it.

Much better to have a good independent tech work on your computer than having it shipped off somewhere else.

I've bought a few times there and no problem. 2 or 3 times I've been looking for something we saw online and people working there clearly have told us that the website offers and products are different in-store, so I should always call before to check availability and prices. Sometimes it's been convenient; others, don't.

Funny because after I took back the 2nd DVD player that didn't work, for some reason they didn't think I should get a third one.. Shouldn't they last more than a month or two? Your walmart must be better than ours...and yes I did have ALL of the paper work...I tape the receipts on the boxes and save them..Learned to do that years ago because of walmart.

I won't shop there - yrs. ago I'd ordered a TV (before the flat screen days), it arrived from UPS broken, I contacted them and they told me I had to take it back to the store (even though it was an online order) - I explained that the TV weighed more than I could lift (literally it weighed almost as much as me), plus finding a vehicle to fit it into, etc. - they wouldn't budge. Haven't and won't shop there since, and I've also told a bunch of people my experience and hear their horror stories, they won't shop there either.

I haven't had any problems with them. I ordered an Ipod Touch with them last month and it arrived just fine in good time. Also, had a pickup order for a laptop cooler, no problems. This from a former Circuit City employee.

Best buy is overpriced. Back in 03 i bought a sanyo 32" stereo tv & the rude sales rep tried to sell me a lame extended warranty for $100.00. I said no cause my credit card has a extended warranty plan. He told me i should go by a tv at circuit city. I reported the punk to the mgr before i left the store. I will NEVER again buy anything from best buy. GO TO the following site & search best buy. http://ripoffreport.com

My recent experience with Best Buy has been the following:

- Purchased 3 wireless-G PCI cards for my PCs to work with my old wireless-G router. They told me these cards were Windows7 compatible. They were wrong. Returned them. No problems with the return.

- Replaced those 3 cards with 3 wireless-N usb sticks and a new wireless-N router. The router/cards couldn't hold stable very long. Connectivity would drop too often to be usable. Returned those to the same store hours later. No problems. No questions asked. Was told they couldn't give me cash back in hand since the return was for greater than $250. So I ether had to wait for a check to be mailed or had to purchase something. So, I bought Mario Bros Wii to bring the refund below $250. Got cash back. No problems.

- Purchased a Samsung Ultra-Slim mount for my new TV (not purchased through Best Buy). The best buy TV guy told me that it had to be mounted on at least one stud (makes sense). They were wrong about that.

- They also recommended I save $50 by buying a returned ultra-slim mount instead of the new one. I asked if they inspected the package to make sure all the parts where still in there. They assured me all the parts were in there. I get home, parts are missing. I had to drive back to Best Buy (almost not worth the $50 I saved). However! They made good on it. I had them sell me a brand new one at the price of the used one. So, that is ok.

Overall, I've had great experiences returning the items. However, just like nearly any big box store, the salespeople know jack about what they are selling. All of them always claim that they own that item themselves and it works great
