Recall dad paying 15 cents for his pack of "Luckies." When I started it was 30 cents in the machine and 27-28 cents across the counter.

I always smile to myself when people from the U.S. complain about the cost of ciggies.

A carton of 200 cigarettes is now over $200 in Australia. A 50g tin of pipe tobacco costs $75.
The penalty for growing tobacco for personal use is more severe than growing cannabis.
Yes, our politicians on both sides of the fence, suck.

Once a month I go to Seneca Allegany New York on a casino run through Lakefront lines. They're the bus driver after dropping people off at the casino will take us over to the Indian store where they sell cigarettes. They don't have name brand cigarettes. I buy the Seneca brand. They taste just like the regular cigarettes they have menthol non-menthol and the kind that is hand-rolled. They are much cheaper than buying them from the regular store a pack will cost you $2.87. I buy the carton which is $23.50. I bring myself back for cartons and I bring back cartons for my family members and my friends. It saves a lot of money. The trip to Seneca is only $26 on the bus and they give you an incentive of $45 to play with if you want to play in the casino it's worth the trip. And it's fun. But those four cartons that I buy for myself last me for over a month. But I still go back to following month just to buy cigarettes for myself and others a carton of cigarettes here in Cleveland Ohio runs about close to $70. Think of how much money you're saving by making the trip. Hope this was some help
