I'm guessing you're in Las Vegas..

Fry's, if you're feeling adventurous. There used to be a PC Club on Sahara, but they went out of business and the company that bought them only has an online presence now. Laptop Exchange, if you're looking for a laptop... There's also a number of small, mom+pop computer shops that mostly do business setups, but I'm sure they'd sell you a PC - don't know how competitive they'd be on pricing, though.

You might try Costco, Staples, OfficeMax, and don’t forget you might find a good deal in the CraigsList for your area for used or refurbished, some small local stores will also have ads there ~ use caution when dealing with others.

Default Look in stores, buy online

Got a good deal on a Macbook on ebay. Brand new, about $400 less than in the store.

Fry's has a lot of good geeky guys to explain things, but they are usually not the cheapest...and sometimes they are so busy that it's hard to corral help.....

Costco has good package deals in their stores...(and you can have very good ones built from their online site)...and sometimes a good geeky kid to explain things....

Staples has some....they've usually got a good geek or two running around.....

Can't think of the name of Staples main opponent because I don't go there......Office Depot?

Thanks, ended up going to Best Buy.. Don't have a Fry's where I'm located.

just didn't realize there weren't any electronic stores around...guess Circuit City was their only competitor- and they are gone now!

Office Depot, Staples...some companies have a brick and mortar store, like Apple and Dell. You might see also if there are "computer warehouses" that sell nothing but computers, peripherals, software. For example, there's one of those in St. Pete.

I know what you mean--Radio Shack was once a great place to go for electronics, but not today. Seems Sears Roebuck has always had a large electronics department--are there any of those still around?
