I've been using fluorescent bulbs for several years now, but for the last year we've been having an unusual amount of problems with Costco's bulbs. We have about 12 recessed ceiling "cans" and have replaced 3 bulbs in those. Anyway tonight a "vanity" light in the bathroom went out, it's 11W. the odd thing is that it's the 3rd one of those in about 2 years, and that bathroom light doesn't get used that much, mostly in the morning because it gets lots of natural light in the mornings.

Anyone else having this kind of problem?

I don't think I do and I do buy them there..I buy the larger size. I had to get used to the hum when I first started using them and the fact that they don't turn on instantly....and also that I feel like I need a seeing eye dog until they warm up...

I have a huge house with all kinds of bulbs in it......seems like I can go for months without any burning out and then 3 might burn out during a 1-week period....(but they are not all the large, round, flourescents from Costco)....
