I'm thinking about buying a juice to make my own OJ. Can anyone recommend one that pretty good, and not too expensive? I don't need any bells and whistles, I just want to make my own juice. The OJ in the stores has sugar in it, and if I make my own, it won't.

Citrus juicers are pretty much the same with a rotating central peg, strainer, and drip catching pan, and only cost around $15 to $20. You would not use a regular juicer to make OJ, because you would either have bitter juice or have to cut off the peel, which is WAY time consuming. There is a lever handled citrus press that uses no power, if you are into that.

No, I'm looking for an electric citrus juicer. I looked at the ones on eBay, and wrote them down. Then I started reading the review on all of them. I have it narrowed down to two right now. I just think it would be nice to have fresh, squeezed OJ instead of from a jug.

Yeah, it can be really good if you like the blebs. We used to be able to have it all the time in FL before the state came in and cut down our citrus trees. Fresh ruby red grapefruit with a trace of salt is even better, so much so that it is a reason to not take statins. (they interact with the grapefruit juice)

It would be strained before I drank it. I just like plain juice, I hate the pulp and everything else. I figure I can get a juicer, make my own juice and freeze it for when I want to drink it.

I narrowed it down to and Oster41002A, Oster 3186 and a Black and Decker CJ525. I have to do more research on them, and then wait for some $$ to buy it.

Try reading my post. I'm not asking where to buy them, I'm asking for suggestions on different models. I know where I can buy them, when I decide to buy one.

The new Jack LaLanne stainless steel juicer works like a charm, but I think I'm going to upgrade to the HealthMaster.

I checked out this site, and it was a waste of time. I got six replies, none of which bothered to read my post. I'm not about to spend $180 on a juicer. I find that doing research myself is best, and I'm going to buy an Oster 3186.
