I have not gotten gas at Exxon since Valdez. Don't plan on getting it at BP. However, both companies probably either own or are owned by other ones and we unknowingly buy their products.

We don't have a BP station in the state I reside in but do keep in mind;
"One 42-gallon barrel of oil creates 19.4 gallons of gasoline. The rest (over half)
is used to make things like these Petroleum Based Products (Click Here)...
"

If you still use ANY of these products your still at a 50% rate of supporting any and all oil companies.

This has been debunked as a real solution so many times it isn't funny. Oil is a fungible product. You cannot "boycott" a fungible. All you do is re-arrange distribution patterns and run the risk of adding another layer of profit takers.

I think it would be nice if BP would offer free gas gift cards for the people most affected by their spill....but I doubt that will happen.

Everyone is so quick to jump on the bandwagon when all along it's been our fault. OUR FAULT.

"I'm boycotting BP and then getting in my cute little car and driving all over town using gas from some other station. Hmmmm, I think I need an oil change. I don't care where the oil comes from. I feel so good about myself boycotting the big bad BP. Hmmmmm, I wonder what dress I should wear to the party tonight."

WE'RE ALL STILL USING GAS AND BUYING PETROLEUM BASED PRODUCTS!!!! We are all so miserably addicted to our comfortable lifestyles. I wish I would have invested in Exxon back when that spill happened. I might be rich now, because most have forgotten and the youths don't even know. Oil spills are going to happen with all the oil companies and it's our fault for demanding the oil. ACCOUNTABILITY/OWNERSHIP, People!!!! It is time for an awakening in this world! Doesn't anyone out there see the big picture???????

it is not going to hurt bp if we boy cott them it is only hurting the station owner who buys his or her gas from bp . the gas station owners are not at fault in this thing .

Don't forget the Citgo boycott because of their Venzuelan ownership!

At the rate we're going we won't be able to buy gas anywhere without pee'ing on someone's cause!
