Anywhere here is better than Connectitut. Stay away from New Orleans proper unless you live on the North Shore.

My four favorties are:
1. North Shore
2. Baton Rouge
3. Lafayette
4. Alexandria

New Orleans is the most attractive for a young single person. Don't listen to ^, he is biased because of his extreme beliefs.

What else are you looking for? What size city, job outlook, schools, etc. Give as much information and we can better help you.

This post should probably be moved to the general Louisiana forum. It really depends on the type of setting and lifestyle you're looking for. If you can be more specific on what you're looking for people will be able to weigh in.

Interesting, given that New Orleans probably has more churches per square mile than any city in the state.

New Orleans probably also has more bars per square mile, as well as it's share of strip clubs and businesses that cater to prurient interests as well. Funny thing about communities with a high church-going element, they seem to have their share of naughty-places too...some more obvious than others.
