I ran out of money on a cross country drive in 1974 in Bossier City. My friend and I worked at Pancho's (all you can eat Mexican food) for a couple of days to get enough money to get to the next town. Spent most of the time there with 2 sisters. Ahhh good times.

I ate there for the first time in 1979. My stomach wasn't use to it and I got soooo sick I thought I was gonna die.: eek:

I came back though, and got use to it.

We weren't lucky enough to be servers, we worked as dishwashers. That flag is what got us into money trouble. We kept raising it to get the beers. We spent our last dime there. The sisters we stayed with did work as servers. They were nice

We knew we were running out of money and there was a sign advertising it on the interstate, we saw "All you can eat" and jumped on it. All in all, it wasn't bad for the price.

Does anyone remember a restaurant on Kings Highway called The Chef? It was very close to Bracado's.

I seem to remember an audio store called Audio Fidelity that sold pretty good stuff (Hafler, Adcom, Nakamichi,Denon, Polk, etc) sometime in the mid to late 80's.

Also there was an audio store in one of the malls called Sound Wave or Sound Waves. I think that was late 70's early 80's. They sold stuff like Pioneer, Cervin-Vega!, etc. Some of the same stuff as Howard Griffin Sound Center.

I remember a radio station that was some kind of pseudo CHR or Top 40 called KTUX "Tux 99."

OH yeah the Kon Tiki.

I went to Poncho's one time around '87 and it was okay. Went again in 1999 and it really sucked. Not sure what happened.
