Canaries win Game 2 of playoffs

Sioux Falls beat the Sioux City Explorers 7-1 on Tuesday night at the Birdcage. to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-five first-round playoff series.

Tim Hutting knocked in five runs on three hits, while Ryan Ford earned the win.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Sioux Falls pitchers limited the Sioux City Explorers to a single run for the third game in a row and the Canaries rolled past the X's 3-1 Thursday night, advancing to the American Association championship series.

Completing a best-of-five series sweep for the North Division's postseason crown, the Canaries enjoyed yet another big night from the bottom third of the batting order.
