Couple Honored For Generosity
The Nicolai's help people who are homeless get back on their feet by providing rooms at the hotel they own, some at discounted prices and others even for free.
Kudos, to Nicolai's!, for attempting to make a diference, in the community of Sioux Falls.....I am sure there are other people, as well, but unless someone goes the extra mile, to point them out to us, we never know who they are...............
and Kudos, to Kelo & to Oprah, for bring this to my/our attention!
HyVee stepped forward, as well, with $12,000 in grocery cards.......

Debey, I made sure to record it on my dvr. I should've posted something earlier to let everyone know about it airing today.
It was a wonderful story, as well as the others that were shown on Oprah.
I actually drove by this motel today (which is right by the arena/convention center on Russell Street)... and I saw some children outside playing on the lawn, and a shirtless man sitting at a picnic table... It's obvious that the two featured on Oprah are very much helping these homeless people. I wanted to stop and say "Thank you for what you do!".
SO, I was so excited that something so positive happening in our state was on Oprah that I included that in a few emails. One of the gals from here wrote back and said that it is cool AND that they are her cousins. Small world.
