yeaahhhh, got to feel bad for african teams tough, first world cup to be in africa and the hostess team didn't pass the group stage,FIRST time it ever happened by the way,and all the others will not pass to,perhaps maybe algeria or ghana with a bit of luck
algeria has to win USA and dream that england draw or loses
ghana has to at least draw with germany and expect that servia draws or lose to australia

Uruguay v S. Korea: Uruguay should win. Don't rule out upset by S. Korea.

USA v Ghana: Rematch from Germany '06. USA will win so long as they mark any Ghana player that tries to shoot. (Ghana has yet to learn to pass the ball to an open player.)

Argentina v Mexico: Rematch from Germany '06. Argentina is the favorite to win. But I expect a furious battle from both teams like 4 years ago.

England v Germany: Either Germany wins or PK's decide. Match will probably be dull, like most of their past encounters.

US should win. Ghana scored both their goals from (handball) penalties - and really, we should have beat them.

AUS going home

but some great games coming up

Well, well. Italy joins an illustrious line of defending champs that crashed out of 1st Round:
- Brazil in '66
- France in '98
- Italy in '10

Azzurris shared the dubious distinction - besides the same-colored jerseys - with le Bleus by finishing at the bottom of the group.
