Imagine the clouds of saliva and germs in those stadiums. The vuvuzela is a health hazard.

I totally agree.
Now I'm just afraid that there will be a certain growing element of morons that think it's cool and bring it in to infect American football and baseball.
Hopefully, our sports "authorities" will have the guts to stop that one before it gets going.

They do. I've been to a fair amount of football games in my life in different stadiums. I can't speak for all the clubs policies, but in regards to the ones set up by the Denver Broncos you will politely be told to take it back to the car. Otherwise it will be confiscated. People are patted down to see what they are carrying, sometimes by two sets of checkpoints before you get to the ticket taker as you enter the stadium.

And the small air horns, if you're lucky enough to get it in the stadium? You blow that sucker, you'll get a complaint. You get a complaint, and a stadium employee (sometimes accompanied by a police officer) gives you the boot. Over the past several years the NFL clubs have gotten more hard lined on it than ever before.

I haven't seen any of those type horns in the stadiums I go to, doesn't mean people somehow get them in anyway. But I've seen enough fights in the stands between fans who blow the horns into other fans ears to know that the clubs policy on this type of stuff is low tolerance, most likely zero tolerance.

Yeah, I find the horns very annoying after about 5 minutes... I'd much rather hear the traditional singing, chanting etc... I have been watching the games on mute!!

Yeah, they should totally ban those Vuvuzuelas. I find them 10 times worse than watching a Raiders fan stab somebody in the stands.

Oh wait, no I don't.

America is the land of the obnoxious, drunk fan...I don't think we have room to call anything loud and annoying. FIFA knew about the Vuvuzuelas going into it. I think it is only the American audience that is bothered by it. American TV is going to quiet it down....done.
