Might be a long day again for N Korea as the Ivory Coast tries to pump in a boat load of goals to catch Portugal for the #2 spot in their group.

The Brazilians are committing way too many fouls (some really rude ones), so many yellow cards, I wonder if they will have any players left for the next games if they go on like that There is absolutely no need for that, the coach should really teach his team some discipline and fairness.

Futile. So long as Brazil & Portugal maintain the tie, Ivory Coast's efforts are for naught.

I believe when teams advanced into second round, all the yellow cards are wiped clean. Except for players that have to sit out the match because of red cards or accumulations of yellows.

The goal difference is still so huge, the Ivory Coast would need a miracle to advance.

Even if Brazil put 3 past Portugal, IC would need to paste NK 7-0 or better to advance.

It was a boring match, they did cancel each other out as I had thought they would. It was a permanent back and forth, little planning, too accidental, not much left of Brazil's former magic... And Portugal played on its usual level, North Korea was too easy an opponent.

Sometimes they follow a match with a camera installed down on the field level for a couple of seconds. Only then does one notice that playing soccer is much more difficult than watching it from above the way spectators usually do. I assume soccer players need extremely good vision as well as mental imaging, mapping and dimensioning capabilities. And there is hardly any time to look where one's teammates are located, whether they are available or shielded by an opponent etc.
