Referees always make mistake, they're not perfect, I've come to accept that, sometimes you get the decisions, sometimes you don't.

When I watched the last World Cup I saw the Americans getting called for things others didn't. It bothered me then, and it bothers me when it continually happens. In the last World Cup a couple of times it was so ridiculous that the commentators were commentating on it, even the British ones. Sadly, some people just can't leave politics out of sports.

yeah, this is bigger than one call. it was many, many calls against the u.s. players for no reason and hardly any calls on the slovenia players...especially the one that shoulda been a red card for them.

it was obviously fixed. fifa should investigate for real and stop this b.s. reffing. its not just this game either, its happened in other games for other teams with other refs.

No doubt...this was not a "mistake"...that goal was gonna be called off no matter what.

Meh, that chant has been used on Caucasian refs for a long, long time, it won't make it racist to use it on a black ref just once.

Maybe the referee's jealous these black players are citizens of the greatest country in the world, so he's making every effort to penalize them.

I tend to agree, Mali is a poor country and a few thousand Euro could sway ones judgement if it were for sale.

If we accept that there was deliberate bias - which I personally doubt - then it is more likely to be "muslim bias" against the "great satan" than anything monetary.

I will admit that for a half second there I flashed back to the Cold War and our American figure skaters being judged by a Russian who couldn't be impartial if he wanted to see his nice little dacha again.

The experts, and true soccer fans of many nationalities, that I am hearing discussing this are saying that ref will never be on the field again. A lot of people, not just Americans, are upset by the call.

And I agree: WIN AND IN, BABY!!
