What a long painful morning watching this Italian team. But that's what it is, that's what happens when you have a crazy, egomaniac coach who thinks he's god and calls his buddies to the national team leaving the best players home.

Anyway, this should not cast any shadow over New Zealand's achievement: they played, they ran, they fought and at the end of the day they deserve the point and the historic result.

Good job New Zealand and as for Italy we can only wait for the end of the Cup which at least will also coincide with the end of coach Lippi.

Man I sympathize with you Italians, this result would be like our rugby team losing to you guys in a World Cup KO game.

Pretty sad that our greatest result in Football history is a draw, but that draw was against a giant of the game!

Congrats to New Zealand! Fantastic game...

and if possible I would love to see New Zealand make it past the first round. They've certainly proven they've got a lot of mettle and deserve it. Well done!

Bravo New Zealand!

Of the games I've watched New Zealand and North Korea were the only two teams that played HARD every second of the match, and for that they get my respect! It is especially refreshing to see when so many of the teams are fulled with spoiled players who cry and dive way too much!

Take the good with the bad I guess,

These two draws we've had have been front page news, first story on the news, has everyone in the country going mad. Really really good for New Zealand Football.

This latest draw has just been massive.

NZ who is the lowest rank team in the tournament manages to go out without losing a match. That's good for the country.
