We are assuming that Argentina will win Group B. The Winner of Group B (probably Argentina) will play the runner up in Group A (Mexico). The Winner of A (Uruguay) will play Group B's runner up.
Yes, that was my assumption. Still ..... who knows

Thank you for the explanation. Football is relatively new to me so I'm still learning the rules, especially those of the World Cup.
I would presume Germany & Serbia will be favored which would likely have Germany taking the top seed in Group D with Serbia #2 unless they pump in a lot of goals against the Aussies. Any upsets or ties could throw this scenario into disaray and the Aussies could still advance if they and Ghana win.
The world rankings (I averaged two sources; FIFA May 26th & soccer.net)
7 Germany
13 Serbia
32 Ghana
Whom USA will play in the next round? Germany or Ghana or maybe Serbia?
Its a tricky one. Whoever wins their group comes up against England, not the USA. My guess is that Germany will go for the win (too risky not to) and get it. I also think that Serbia will beat Australia. So, my prediction will be Germany v England and USA v Serbia.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL FOR ENGLAND! We beat them russian wankers. Slovenia's nrear russia right? Well even if it aint it sounds like it is.
