Well you would have to extend the length of a game of Soccer to about four hours, because of the endless commercial breaks you would have to fit in during a game.

Just keep growing MLS incrementally. Over time it will seep into the national conciousness/be seen as just another big sport. It'll be side by side with the other sports, neither seen as a niche sport nor supplanting our already established ones.

Arsenal is my main club, they are the team I will support above all others in the world.
Second would be Chicago Fire here in the states, since I was born and raised there, plus I am half Polish so all of the Polish Fire players in the late 90's (Nowak, Podbrozny, etc.) gave me good reason to support them.
Third would be West Ham United. Even though they're most likely going to be relegated this year.

its not important lol im just wondering if football 'soccer' can be big in the usa, its not important to me or most europeans, but it would be good to see this great sport become big in the one of the last countries in the world to fall in love with football, it truly is in my opinion, once you learn the history, rules and the traditions of the game, the best sport in the world bar none.

yes i love arsenal to the 'invicibles' team of a few years back is probally the best footballing side i have ever seen (never lost a match all season) along with the barcelona and spain national teams of today, and maybe chelsea and man u teams of a few years back but they are nowhere near as good now. celtic in the 60's was 1 of the best teams in the world and won the european cup (1st in britain to do so) and every player stayed no more than 5miles away from celtic park and all supported celtic, thats pretty amazing for a country of 5million people! had to get that in there lol

Soccer is big in the US. Any sport that has a professional league that has 150 million dollar + stadiums, has an attendance average in the 5 digits, and multi-million dollar sponsorship and national TV deals, it is big.

It doesnt have to be as big as the NFL or MLB to be considered American or big.

I don't really have a club since I hate soccer, but as a Texas guy, I like FC Dallas. The Dynamo are pretty good too.
