Just a little inquest into the sociology of other US based fans of association football. Which is your favorite club, and why? (Even if its just your hometown MLS side, you can say so).

I've been an Arsenal man since I was 13 or 14. Funny story, I was watching them as a youth and somehow got the idea that they were "the black man's club", before I realized that many of the yearly goal leaders and about 30% of the English squad were black. But either way, I've been a fan ever since.

What I meant was, there needn't be an interesting anecdote behind why you root for them.

FC Dallas - my home town side. Love going to the games, cheering with supporters, and we are doing quite well this season. Could be our year!

I've been meaning to watch more EPL games (easiest top tier league for Americans to get into), but haven't really had the time to devote enough time.

I also "support" Monterrey in that it is where I was born and I still have tons of family there, but I can't regularly watch games or anything. But go Rayados anyway!

The club in Salt Lake City. (But why did they pick the Spanish word for 'Royal'? To imitate Real Madrid? They could have called it 'Royal Salt Lake' and been okay by me.) I have been enjoying MLS more this year than in the past; I do believe that the league has improved quite nicely.

Over in Europe: Feyenoord Rotterdam, Sevilla, any EPL club but the Top 4. Levski Sofia (going to follow them in Europa League action since Feyenoord was eliminated.)

In South America: Colo Colo of Chile, and Cruziero of Brazil.
