Yeh Celtic and Rangers fans can kill themselves for all I care! Major incidents pop up from time to time in the UK and they get publicised so everybody knows about it. I dont think its going to be anywhere near as bad as it was back in the 80's though.

In the US anything that happens (granted its not 100's of ppl on the pitch fighting) it dosent get that much coverage. I spoke to guys here and they told me of throwing batters at players and beer bottles and fights and lighting fires after games. Was it this or last summer West Ham came here ? I know there was fights there too.

Anyway back on Stadium Atmosphere, I watched every game of the MLS Playoffs and thought the atmosphere was excellent at all the games. Lots of singing and chanting and stuff. I wish I could have gone to a few of the Colorado Rapids games.

yeah they can and do, cause of the team they support, on the day/night of an old firm game, murders, attempted murders, assaults, domestic violence soar in scotland all because one football game, and i know it is starting to happen in north america, its weird how violence, hooliganism etc nine times out ten happens at football (soccer) the more soccer gets bigger in north america, the more problems you'll probably face i think im right in sayin toronto fc, columbas crew, and a few others may be on there way

Ive been on the wrong end of Rangers fans when Shelbourne FC vs Rangers took place at Prenton Park in Liverpool. Great game when we went 3-0 up, cant remember the final score though :P I hate Rangers.

I hate arguing atmosphere as I don't want hooligans. Our police will kill people if they behave like that, plus our populace has many licensed gun carriers. Try that **** in Dallas, TX and it will be a massacre. Simply don't want that.

Here's a tip for the OP: College football or basketball.

So true. Public violence at things like sporting events in the U.S. has never been tolerated nearly as much as in Europe because it can get out of hand and turn deadly so much faster here where so many people have guns.

Man. How much excitement do you need? It's pretty intense at SEC football games I can tell you that much. Here's just a taste of some college and pro football stadium excitement in the U.S. mostly from this year. Oh yeah, and one more point should be made. Crowd noise in American football is actually quiet strategic. Crowds purposely get quieter when their home team has the ball to allow them to easily communicate plays to one another while getting very loud when the other team has the ball on to drown out their ability to audabilize plays and dissrupt their quarterbacks cadence. This can be extremly effective in loud stadiums.

Sensitive ears and kiddies might want to watch out. A little profanity at the end of this first one.

Hate to hand it to our heated pro rival the Saints but their matches are like Mardi Gras.
