I don't like Fergie either, great manager, one of the best around but there is something about him. He gets away with so much and Benitez the old Liverpool boss made it clear saying all the things that he had done and not been punished. He also said United are being victimized.

The owners should not have a say in who plays but obviously if they put the money in then it is likely they are going to want a say.

As for Torres. Chelsea brought an out of form striker for 50m. He was also injured so will take time but the games i have seen live his work rate has improved he just needs to work on finishing and regain his touch.

fergie just does EVERYTHING to get an advantage for his team, and i think thats great, he doesn't care about anybody else except manchester united and that is why he is one of the greatest managers the world has ever known

mates- did not say that American ownership is why ManU have been so successful. Simply noted that Yanks own them.

How Man Utd are not in front after first 45 min vs Schalke 04 is beyond belief.
So many chances squandered.
They usually need one decent chance in a game like this to score when they're away from home.

man united mad schalke look like a league 1 side, i know they aren't up with the best in europe, but that was a fine performance, and if it wasn't for neur (who looked an amazing keeper) they could have won that game 4/5-0 easily, now look forward to the el classico tomorrow! what a final it will be at wembley either way, can't wait

Yup, tie over i think. Cant see schalke getting anything at Old trafford.
El-classico tonight, Looking forward to some good football mixed with some chronic play acting and a possible punch up between Mourinho and Pep! Should be good.
Im hoping for a barca win, is the first legg at the Bernebau(sp)?
