Are you regular followers in America? Do games get shown live on TV, like a couple of NFL games get shown on Sunday nights over here.

How many of you know about the lower leagues? With American football you have your college soccer then the MLS.

We have hundreds of leagues.

The top 4 being the ones that are mainly supported in, and the ones called the football league. Below that is classed as non-league.

I support a team in the 4th tier called Rotherham United (Has any American heard of them?) We are 2nd out of 24 teams after 21 games with 25 games left to play.

I hope i can educate the unknowing in English football and have a good chat with the ones who know alot about football across the pond, and the English bunch who will know about it.

EPL is fairly popular in the United States. Pretty much anyone who is a soccer fan will be at least a casual follower.

Personally, I am an Everton fan.

We have several channels that show EPL games. In fact, I believe between all the channels, they show every single game played each week but some are on delay.

I am familiar with all 4 levels of top flight football in England but only follow them casually and yes, I have heard of Rotherham United.

By the way, we have lower level divisions under MLS, we just dont have promotion/regulation.

IF youre talking about USL RJ its not a lower league to MSL it is a different league altogether (Your sentence kind of made it sound to me it was one big league).
Between Fox Soccer, ESPN, a few local channels and Mexican channels we have some good coverage here of the EPL. I am from Ireland, just living in New Mexico though.

College Soccer is not very popular here, its totally dwarfed by many other sports

It is a lower league to MLS. It is the USF official second division. However, it is not affiliate with MLS.

Its a lower standard for sure but not league, compared to English standards because it would have relegation/promotion to be an actual lower league.

I actually slightly know of Rotherham, took Shrewsbury to the Championship in Fifa 11 so I know a lot of the lower division clubs but not much about them. Huge Liverpool fan though and yea its very easy to catch games here if you follow one of the big 4 or 5 clubs. Liverpool games are getting harder and harder to come by though unfortunately but King Kenny will change that!

Shrewsbury - Our bogey side, they always get lucky against us, we can never beat them, they always win 1-0.

With Liverpool its tough. If they can rekindle the form of 2 seasons ago, with a very similar squad then i dont see why they wont get back up there. IF Kenny gets his skills that he had first time round back and not his Celtic ability, he will definitely bring something out of the players.

The fear for most fans, is Torres mind looks turned already. Like he knows he is leaving. He has been underperforming all season (So has Rooney to be fair). They are a 2 man squad and when 1 gets injured for a long period of time, and the other isn't player to his ability, you know it will be hard for the club to get results on the pitch. They struggle to grind out results, which they were doing last season.

Well, I have heard nothing but good things out of Torres. He keeps reiterating that his heart is with Liverpool and he's been class ever since coming over from Atletico. I just think the system as it was run under Roy made Torres look bad, or perhaps he isn't fit yet. I don't see a quick turn around at Liverpool though, it'll be a few years still until we see another 2nd place finish. All I can hope is that United completely fall apart and don't win number 19 this year. Though realistically it's just delaying the inevitable.

You must be pretty happy about the possibility of promotion, Rotherham have been doing pretty well so far!

This season Torres just looks off form, he was the only real goal scorer last season and without him bagging the goals your left with inept players like N'gog n Babel.

Im very confident about promotion. We had a blip last night. With 5 minutes to go we turned a 3-1 loss into a 3-3 draw against a poor side. So a point gained on 1st place, but we should have taken all 3 before the game.

Anywhere in the top 3, and i wont be too fussed.
