I lived in Manchester for 4 years in the 1970s and found myself going to watch Man City all the time. At the beginning I would go to watch Man Utd. but found the support to be obnoxious, arrogant, patronizing and violent. And they had a terrible team at the time The Man City fans were quite the opposite of that despite the fact they had bragging rights. I have been "off" Man Utd. ever since.

ps. do you know how many Man Utd. fans it takes to change a light bulb? The answer is "two". One to change the bulb and the other to drive the car up from London.

Manchester United, it always seemed to me like they had one of the biggest bandwagon fan bases.

I believe that Man U are probably the most well known & supported sports brand in the world, unfortunately.

When I worked in Botswana I saw kids playing football wearing United shirts.

Agreed. Once they got sheik money they went on a spending spree that would've made Michael Jackson blush. As an Everton fan, I'm still ticked about the Jolean Lescott manner. I love nothing more than beating those chumps.
