Ireland and Scotland should host a world cup when Scotland get independence. Two great nations and know how to throw a party. Irish fans were great in Poland. Of course Brian doesn't agree

Think so, bid probably wasn't corrupt enough. Needed more hookers i suspect.

After I posted this I went back and read about the whistleblower on this, Chuck Blazer. After he told what he knew to FIFA he was accused of slander, CONCACAF attempted to fire him from his position, he then quit, and then he was accused of financial mismanagement himself. Soccer/football is a dirty business.

When football becomes a brand rather then a sport, there will be corruption. Its a big shame.

These envelopes you speak of, please tell me more

Would you say they are this thick?

Or perhaps this thick?

Wait, you say they could be even larger - even this thick?!

Tough decision - let me think this through

Football, it's yours!

Now remember, these envelops that you speak of - you will not speak of - they do not exist

I actually supported the Russia bid (when most others were overtly supporting the England, Spain/Portugal, and Netherlands/Belgium bids) and am looking forward to watching a World Cup match there live in 2018 with my friends....

Qatar on the other hand is just.... NO! And for many reasons.... I wanted Australia to land 2022 in fact.

Those temperatures!!! Zero futbol tradition!!! All the money they gave to Blatter for them being chosen is tainted money!!! Its ALL wrong with this!

It should have gone to Argentina: it haves the tradition, the climate and infracstrucsture. Could be Argentina/Uruguay, too. People breathe soccer here.

If not, any european country would have been ok.

but QATAR????? unbelievable
Don't even mention Argentina. Australia deserved to get the 2022 world cup.

Qatar makes news again. What a sad joke that decision was...did they actually think this through? They should have just thrown a dart at a map to pick the next location.

Now there are reports that they want the 2022 World Cup to be played in November. This is going to turn into a mess. I cannot see how they could have the WC played during the season. Some clubs would loose multiple key players for anywhere from 6-10 weeks.
