Yup! I expected Liverpool to do well in this one though, they seem to do good against good teams and flop against teams they should be beating.

I am sick of the rotating policy and shifting places.
I want to see Rooney playing upfront not in the mid park.
What is Carrick and Jones been playing? CB or CM?
Since when is Valencia RB?
I don't understand SAF.
This (injuries to key players) has been a problem for the last few seasons and he still refuses to sign a couple quality players saying there is no value in the market....yet he spends 17 mil+ for De Gea after been scouting him for so long. What were those scouts looking at?
And why the kids everybody been talking about didn't get a chance to play (Pogba and Ravel Morrison)?
They better sign somebody very very good in January or title will be going accross the city.
But seriously, if they can't win it, I really want to see Spurs winning it. What accomplishment that would be.

I hate to question SAF from my computer but i've to agree with your points.
I'm not a fan of playing Rooney in midfield either. He's much less dangerous there. But like you said it's due to a lack of quality in midfield. We need to sign up a world class midfielder and this "no value in the market" is not going to change anytime soon- at first i thought it was just SAF posturing but not anymore.
Valencia has been very good as a winger, at times amazing, but putting him back in RB is terrible.

Who am I to question SAF either, but I am just stating the obvious.
A club of Man Utd magnitude should've better midfield.
Remember Giggs-Keane-Scholes-Beckham midfield?
Man Utd have good wingers in Nani and Young, but the central midfield area lacks creativity. Carrick, Anderson, Park etc are not the kind of players that can change the game.

I cant see why you guys are not enjoying the recent downturn in Utd fortunes?
Theyll bounce back I think, its just a very rough patch IMHO. I think he probably will dip into the Jan transfer market but whoever he buys will be at an inflated price because of the short time the window is open.
