I dunno paul, people have been saying that about Newcastle for 15 years. They are an also ran club like Liverpool and nothing more IMHO. Youre not going to win Premiere League trophies at Newcastle.

Im not saying he wont go there like Kid but Newcastle is not a club you go to if you want to win trophies.

He wont get in the Man United team or any of the other "big 6s" teams though, he could do a lot worse.

Newcastle the real dark horse this year. They did some great business by selling Carroll for a ridiculous amount of money and acquiring Ba. Ba's absence will be a test for them, but more than half way through the season, they are 6th and level on points with Arsenal. If Ben Arfa & Best can produce, they'll be fine. They look good for a Europa League place and will most likely invest in the summer and perhaps try to break into the top 4. Pardew has done a fantastic job, especially given the fact that the fans hated him for a while after Hughton's sacking.

Ba looks a great player, twice or more times skillful and deadly than Carrol.

At least that paull, at least that!!

I hate to see Carroll play, he goes back way too deep and is really awkward when on the ball. When used as a target man he is pretty good but Liverpool dont really seem to play that way.

Id swap Ba for him in a heartbeat Hell id take Best too.

lol without a doubt! Newcastle done a cracking bit of business selling Carrol. If they were a bank all the employees would be getting a bonus!

Great performance to see Liverpool get destroyed today. Not the result I wanted to see but a very entertaining game.

The end of the Tottenham/Man City game was pretty infuriating. Tottenham came back from 2-nil to tie it and then blew it in the last minute. Balotelli should have been sent off.
