Nothing like hard times to cleanse the ranks of "fans"...but tbh these are hardly hard times. I did my time as a Leeds fan and followed Alan Smith to United once Leeds went "away." Watching Leeds for years every victory was a champion's league final lol.

He (Smith) is still remembered as Judas to LUFC fans because of his transfer to Man Utd. And he was their hero.
He once said he would never play for Man Utd, but as I remember, the club (Leeds) forced this transfer to go through as they were facing administration.
The only time I think I was a "fan" of Leeds, May 4 2003:
I can see United dropping a few points to though, plus you have to go to the Eithiad where City are formidable to say the least.
