In today's market 10million for a decent England international with a good goal ratio is fairly cheap, in the EPL anyway.

Anyone care to speculate why Sneider was not signed by United? Seemed from media reports (yea yea) that he was too demanding on his wages...he probably thought United were desperate to sign him and took a firm stance on his crazy wage demands..then United didn't fold. If so I say good job by United not to be pushed around.

Crouch will be a good buy. Very useful player. As for Mertesacker he is very slow and sluggish. Be interseting to see someone like Aguero play against him.

Former Valencia legend and Spain international Vicente has signed for Brighton in the Championship! He was rated as 30million in 2004, he's still only 30 years old!

Man, that's a remarkable transfer for sure. But I think we'll see more and more good Spanish players take their chances abroad, as tons of Spanish clubs (with the exceptions of Real and Barcelona of course) are in dire straits financially...
