Casey is great for MLS but not for the USMNT. He had one good game where he scored two goals and that's all that can be said for his 20 or so caps. Not that I'm satisfied with our strikers but I don't think Casey is the answer. I think what we really need is a new coach that will bring a different approach and demand results.

Though I'll admit he's a more logical choice than Wondo.

Will they even bring a full starting squad? Gold Cup was crucial for Mexico and USA because it secured a birth in the Confederations Cup. I can't see some of the players sticking around for both tournaments.

I forgot that this was going on honestly. Props to the US team out of respect, but wake me when we can win in Mexico.

I attended the U.S.-Honduras WC qualifier in 2009, in which Casey played. He runs like he's wearing concrete shoes.

If he can't beat Honduran defenders, how do you expect him to beat those from Mexico? As a team, Mexico displayed great speed throughout the Gold Cup tournament. Sorry, I'm glad you like Casey, but he's just not good enough to play at an international level.

It takes more than that to play for the national team. Casey is a decent player but decent players do not represent their country. If Casey is one of our best options for the national team than we are in big trouble. He might be suitable for Camp Cupcake but not A team duty.
