Just noticed this. Also, FIFA does not allow teams to pull players off of club teams with no right of refusal for the club teams for more than one summer tournament. When the U.S. played in the Confederations Cup and the Gold Cup, they were not allowed to have an "A" team in the Gold Cup, even if they had wanted to. Also, I don't believe they allow national teams to use any club player they want for continental competitions of which they are not a part of - such as Mexico and Costa Rica in Copa America. Or Japan, if they had decided to go as had been originally planned before the earthquake there. They have to make do with whoever club teams allow them to have.

well, finally!!!

Those argentinian players showed up!

Messi played an EXCELLENT game
Gago, in the middle, was outstanding
Aguero scored two goals
Di Maria scored one
Higuain created danger in Costa Rica area the hole time.

Argentina 3- Costa Rica 0.

It should have been 6-0.

Now, if stupid DT Battista keeps this formation and does not make ridicoulous changes, we have chances of wining it all. It was about time he dropped awful Lavezzi and awful Tevez.

I'm glad they won, although it was only against Costa Rica.

Anyway, Argentina should simply stop trying to play the Barcelona-style game and adjust their system to the players that are available - instead of the opposite.
