Don't get me wrong...I'm hoping for good things for the club. But they're facing ManU in a very short time here and as a fan I'm not seeing anything close to the level of play I saw for much of last season once they pulled out of their slump. I'm not making any bold predictions...just sharing a concern as a fan that we're NOT off to a very stellar start IMO.

Chelsea's website says Drogba should be back after the international break from his concussion. That sure looked ugly.

Well when we've played against him he's done plenty of dirty tackles, holding/cheating, yelling/fighting with United players...nasty stuff.

And there's always the affair with Wayne Bridge's girl...that's plenty for me.

I have to separate a players personal life from their football playing...or eventually we're going to run out of teams to support in that regard. Womanizing...brushes with the law...seems to come with the territory for pro athletes in every country.

Far to early to be predicting the course of Chelsea's season; Arsenal on the other hand...

But in all seriousness, the Blues will be just fine this season. Drogba and Anelka are still a world class duo, so the Torres factor is mute. So long as there isn't a mid-season collapse like last year's, then we should be ok.
