Indeed. Not much of a chance for my favorite Spanish team yesterday evening . Drogba was on a roll for sure.

I'm really liking having the Mata-Drogba-Sturridge front 3...I think it's a strong formula for successful attacks. And I'm becoming a bigger fan of Ramires, that guy is a serious worker out there on the field. But I don't think the midfield is stronger with Lampard on the bench. Chelsea seem to have a big sucking hole in Romeu's position that VAL exploited over and over...

I missed the game vs Wigan. I know it's a tied. How did we do?

Next up is against Tottenham, they are currently in 3rd place with 2 points ahead of us.

The Wigan match was...uninspired. I love Drogba, but he just seemed "disconnected". Mata didn't seem to get much accomplished compared to last game, and Lampard even seemed off. Wigan's shot bounced off Cech's knee and he sorta fumbled it and Wigan rebounded it into the goal. A rare error from Cech. Sturridge was a bright spot IMO.

It just seemed Chelsea was struggling to clear balls from their defensive third, struggling to connect to their forwards, struggling to contain Wigan in the center, just having an off day en masse. Hoping they do much better Thursday!
