No worries, it's not for everyone..monotonous scoring via slamdunking doesn't excite everyone either.

On the pro football forum, one can assume the same thing. Out of the 32 pro football team threads, about half of them are all but dormant. Why, am not sure. But there is discussion of those teams in city and state threads, and that applies to soccer as well.

The notion of the idea "nobody cares" is absurd.

Disagreeing with subject matter is one thing and at times is ok. Posters stomping on the TOS is not ok.
This is a recording.

For now I'll shut down this thread to
let people cool off a tad. OK, reopened, but will watch this closely.

Thank god it has'nt happened to soccer yet.
May it stay that way forever and ever! I HATE TV timeouts and commercial breaks during sports matches! The less, the better!

Be thankful. It's so very aggravating.
I'm okay with that as long as the play flows and isn't interrupted! I guess different strokes for different folks!

Actually, from my experience and what my Indonesian step-dad tells me, football/soccer is KING in Indonesia (even though the country isn't that good internationally) with badminton (where it's a powerhouse) second...

the speed and ferociousness of American football makes it an exiting sport to watch not to mention the breaks in between plays make it a perfect spectator sport to enjoy while eating, drinking and socializing.
It may work for you and many Americans but I've heard way too many non-American people who tell me they're put off by American Football due to there being too many stop-starts and commercial breaks (both are true for College Football and NFL). While I follow the happenings of the NFL (though not as much as the NHL or world football/soccer) I find watching a full game still too cumbersome because of those reasons and prefer just reading news about it off Yahoo Sports!

When I used to watch American Football back home I was a big LA Raiders fan but the game was cut to shreds with less commercials so you got more game-time. It was easier to watch.

It wasn't till I came to the States that I really lost interest because the games live are horrible to watch with 30 seconds of play and 3 mins of ads. Its like an advertisement segment with a sport built in to break it up, not the other way round.

Whatever floats your boat though, if you like it you like it. Ive been told Arena Football is something I would be more interested in if I don't like all the breaks so I will be going to my first game on March 31st =)
