I'm bummed Real Salt Lake lost to the Galaxy. RSL had their chances but Galaxy is a better team and played better. Congrats to L.A. and to their loyal fans. The final will be exciting. I'm thinking a nail biting OT.

-Cheers.

Now i'm not sure exactly what kind of absolute statements you can make with these types of comparisons, but what it does show is that the MLS is getting more and more popular.
Yeah that's great news, any true football fan wants to see it do well its better attended than the SPL (not surprising though giving the population differences) but its on par with the English Championship now which is the 4th biggest league in Europe so that was a pleasant surprise. And its nice to see American fans embracing whan it is to be a football fan, we are fans not spectators!

Show me one place where a KC fan said that Houston had no chance; I doubt you can do it because it never happened. No one that knows anything about MLS would say that. Kinnear might very well be the best coach in the league and he showed it on Sunday because he outcoached Vermes to the hilt. We all knew it would be a tough match because Houston's defense can be impossible to breakdown. After beating them 3-0 nill just a few weeks ago, Houston got their **** together.

You do realize that up till this year that Kansas City had won the award for best grounds crew and pitch in the league for 3 straight years? Our pitch was only an issue for 4 games. Considering the circumstances, that's actually pretty good. I have a friend that runs the grounds at a golf course and said that under the circumstances, it would have been impossible for the team not to have pitch issues. With a full offseason to allow it to root and our award winning grounds crew, it will be fine.

On top of that we have teams playing on turf. That is worse than even the worst grass stadium anyday so we didnt have the worst pitch in MLS. Have you seen Houston's, New England's or Seattle's?

I hope the stadium explodes. Two AEG teams in an AEG stadium fighting for another trophy for AEG. Yuck.

Big soccer comments:
'I'm not seeing anything that makes me think we can't do a 3-0 repeat here.'
'apart from davis with his left I think Houston are lacking in strength'
'Gross, Houston fans are puking all over our thread.

I'm very confident about this game, wouldn't be surprised at a multiple goal slaughter for SKC.

Cmon Houston, right this way.. [picture saying 'slaughter]

'this is a very winnable game'

This took less than 5 minutes.

None of that is saying Houston doesnt have a chance - not a single one. They are post exhibiting confidence but nothing that says Houston doesnt have a chance. I have been posting on the KC BS board for years and there isnt a person on there that is dumb enough to think Houston doesnt have a chance Too much parity in the league for that. Anybody can beat anybody on any given day.

Considering how we had played against Colorado and what we did to Houston a few weeks ago in the same place there was plenty of reasons for us to be confident as fans. In fact, I read fans of other days saying that Houston had no chance but none of ours. I felt confident enough that I almost bought my plane ticket to L.A. on Friday night. I'm glad that I didnt.

Yeh yeh none of it says that at all lmfao.

I sure am glad your confident was boosted by beating a team thats been destroyed by injuries all season long. Nice boost to your egos as your push for your 11th year without an MLS trophy

Actually, it doesnt and if think so, you need to go back to grade school and learn something about reading comprehension. Having confidence and saying a team has no chance are entirely different things. When you have only lost 3 games in the last 27, just manhandled your previous opponent for 180 minutes, and are at home which has been a fortress, you are going to be confident and there is nothing wrong with that. Not to mention that we owned Houston all year long. Are you telling me that you have never been confident about your teams chances before a match?

The only thing your team has ever won is a single MLS Cup and did so on a luck own goal. Get more trophies in the case before talking trash especially when the team I support has triple the hardware that yours does.

Two steps forward one back...On the LA times website, there isnt even a tab for MLS or the Galaxy. That despite the fact that there is one for NFL (even though we've no team) and a tab for "Preps" which apparently refers to HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS!!!...UGH
