I might put money on Portugal winning it now.

20/1 before the Euros kicked off. I put 5 pound each on Portugal, Russia and Croatia. There was no point in putting money on the likes of Germany and Spain as you get crap odds.

Yep, Portugal were way better. Appalling how lame and lackluster the Dutch played - teamspirit sub zero for sure. And then their defense: must have been the worst of all teams by a longshot.

I enjoyed the way Nani played in the Portuguese XI. Especially tactically I thought him very clever, always running on exactly the right moment to create free space for himself. Also curious to see how Ronaldo will be doing. Yesterday he was very very good - finally.

I am offended by the usage of the word Paddy =)

That does seem like a high amount, but how much did Paddy Power pay him to display it ? I am pretty sure there is rules against advertising like that by players.

I do think its ridiculous to have such a high fine for that and such a low fine for racism though.

This is the best thing about tournaments on RTE 2. Liam Brady is mad funny. Graham Souness is funny too.

Germany vs Greece in final eight on June 22. Hope they won't make it a current political issue out of it

I heard Greece has to borrow some gas money to make it to the game.

Ireland were painfull to watch. Why was Balotelli bood when he came on ? Plastic premiere alliances or what ? Joint worst record, but with a bit of luck we could've won it ...
