I watched this interesting documentary about the rise and eventual decreased of British hooliganism. And I think the catalyst for the decreased was undoubtedly goes back to the Heysel disaster, which I still find crazy that actually happened. Its a good watch especially the 2nd episode.

Green Street Hooligans was OK I guess. You need to watch Football Factory if you liked GSH.

No this is a documentary called "Football Fight Club" about the rise, decrease and cause of hooliganism. I have posted both episodes. And I agree Brian, Football Factory is better than Green Street.

There was a better movie from the 80's 'The Firm', with Gary Oldman as the lead thug!

If you like reading then Bill Bufford's 'Among the Thugs' is a good book on the subject, mostly 70's and 80's but some of the more well known people are mentioned.

Just watched a little bit of the first one. Sam Smart! I knew him, he was a firefighter, really, really nice guy (if you were a red), he was good friends with my business partner. It's funny how some people transformed when put in a crowd.

Little known fact, I used to own a football tour business in the 90's in Manchester, would take guys like these to all the European away games, this was obviously after the decline of hooliganism.

Thanks for posting Paul, I never knew this existed.

Its an utter disgrace and disgusting. Football is football. You play it or watch it and have a bit of banter with the opposition. Thats it. You dont go around killing other fans and fighting. They are all as bad as each other. Its sick and wrong. Its not fair on us normal civilized human beings who just want to see a football match and have a good day out a lot of the time with our families. This sort of crap pisses me off big time. Thanks for uploading that Paul by the way.
