I never understood the need for the hand shake prior to the game. No American sports have pre-game handshakes, and some (like baseball) don't even have a post-game handshake. These players are paid to play the game, not to get along with other team's players. And, as much as they would like to be portrayed as role models, very few professional athletes are role models. They all have skeletons in their closets and are not the nicest people. To make them act all nice on the pitch pre-game is just pandering to the audience.

If they don't want to shake hands, don't shake hands.

The handshake is false. If you dont mean it then dont do it. Thats why I agree with what Suarez did. Footballers dont like each other so why shake hands. Go on the pitch and win the game and then come off and thats the end of it.

Per goal.com, Lucas Moura has signed a 4 year deal with PSG and will join the side in January 2013.

That is another huge blow for Man Utd. First loosing out on Hazard and now on Lucas.

It does suck, but I'll be happy if we can get RVP.

It all comes down to the Glazers not opening the purse strings.

If United get Robin van Persie they only need a world class central midfielder then they will be back to their best. Vidic is back, Kagawa is there.

I still think that if they get RVP, they can move Rooney into a more midfield role and he would flourish there. Plus, with Keigawa and the Nani, Young, Valencia grouping we'd be solid in midfield.

Forget Nani(all showboat and no end product) get Kagawa and Young on the wings. Vidic and young Jones at centre back Rooney and Robin van Persie upfront and alongside Carrick in central midfield buy Modric, Kaka, De Rossi, Marchisio, Mario Gotze, Schweinsteiger, Vidal, Montolivo or Van der Vaart
