GB olympics womens football team announced

2 Scots and the rest English, no Welsh and no Northern Irish. Do you think this is fair giving that it is team GB? And giving that Scottish players like Gemma Fay is the best women's goalkeeper in the UK and Lisa Evans who plays in the best women's league in Europe and in the world alongside the States, Germany, and Jennifer Beattie who playes upfront for Arsenal (the best club side in the UK) and Julie Fleeting MBE who currently plays as a striker for Arsenal. She wears the number 10 shirt. Fleeting has a record of 116 goals and 120 caps for Scotland. She was awarded an MBE in the June 2008 Queen's Birthday Honours list. So I think these players deserve to be in the team, maybe some of them didn't want to play for a team GB? But I think they could have included more Scot, Welsh and Northern Irish players who were just as good as some English players.

They aren't British though infinitekid Pete is American and Brian is Irish, I am British so I can have an opinion on it I presume.

And if you don't care about it Pete there is no point leaving a childish comment and just not even looking at the thread? Or is this forum just for things you are interested in?

Why do you call it half-assed? The Olympics feature some of the best athletes in the world and some of the best sports that we so seldom get to see.

Best sports you seldom get to see ? Nah I get to see the best sports. The Olympics is reserved for sports nobody really cares about but gets excited about once every few years.

Any by half asssed I was really referring to the one sport in the Olympics I would watch which is boxing and I gave up on that as its nowhere near as good as "real" boxing and its got nothing to do with the helmets or anything, I come from a Boxing school.
