I swear to god Scotland, you controled the whole game and f****d it up as per usual. Tonight is the first time I punched myself in the face twice. Absolutely gutted but hey thats football, take the good with the bad even though the bad happens more often haha. But gotta say what a goal by Bale, fantastic he is something else.

Sure Trap is a great manager and picks a bunch of superstars So what happens now ? Have the FAI applied for the Greatest Fans of the Tournament award to be made up yet ?
****ing joke that game was. I am not paying stupid money to sit in the cold and watch that **** ever again. That was the worst I have ever seen Ireland play. Get rid of Trap and bring in someone else. A change is needed. We are going backwards. I am not looking forward to next week.

Well, after reading the article about the game in the Herald, it seems like you guys had some serious bad luck, with Fletcher's wrongly cancelled goal and a penalty that apparently wasn't a penalty...

Germany is a machine, man: you can only hope to beat them when they have a bad day (Italy had that luck) or when you're a Spaniard.
About our game against Serbia: the first half (especially the first fifteen minutes) we were downright lucky, the Serbians having enormous chances to score a goal. But they didn't and we - unfairly - did. In the second half, we were the superior side. I especially would like to mention Kevin De Bruyne, who was phenomenal yesterday. He passed like Michael Laudrup in his best days, creating openings and scoring himself as well. Also Vincent Komany, Thibault Courtois and Nacer Chadli played very good.
The only disappointment was - again - Eden Hazard. As brilliant as this guy plays for his clubs, as lackluster he plays for the national team. After his substitution in the 55th or so minute, we started to play a lot better. It's really too bad: we're always expecting brilliant things from him, but so far he's never delivered.
But let's end with a positive note: we are going to fight until the end to win this group, of that much I'm certain. Tuesday I'm going to Brussels again to watch the game against Scotland. Can't wait .

germany are a top side but this is the worst irish team in several decades , worst home defeat of all time
i never thought we would qualify for the world cup , now i know we wont
Worst management imho. Delaney is add scumbag an Trapp is worthless. Trapp tries to play a style of football that is beyond our skillet and never picks our strongest side.
I said we were lucky to qualify for the euros because we were ****e and the performances there showed it.
I got abuse for that because the ****ty Irish media and gob****e bandwagoners who dont support Irish football unless its the national team and a major tournament are beyond clueless.
Im delighted with the result. I hope Trapp steps down and Delaney does too but that will never happen because the Irish "football fans" are stupid. Nobody questions how Trapp and Delaney get paid so much when Irish football is its worse state for decades. They are destoying Irish football while the ybig and ole ole ole idiots follow blindly.
The game will be forgotten as the best fans in the world settle back into their armchairs and watch real Irish football like Celtic and foreign teams like Utd and Liverpool while actual Irish football wallows in the sewers ...
Manager has to take a lot of the flack yes Pete. But I admit we have deeper problems than that. We played well, but Bale is a cheat and a superstar in the last 10 minutes, and a few crucial calls went against us.
