True, True! And Dundee United are the only team never to lose to Barca when they have played more than once in competitive football. They have played over 4 times. And Barcelona only beat Dundee United 1-0 in 2007 with a full strengh team, friendly though. Plus Hearts matched Liverpool in their 2 games this season in Europe. The leagues fairly decent for our population.
Celtic has the craziest home/away difference in foreign football. You should expect them to win against anyone at Parkhead and lose anywhere on the Continent.
Can someone explain what the other Scottish teams gained by dropping Rangers to the 4th tier? If Hearts goes away, the SPL will be the biggest joke in top-tier football.
Biggest joke? what more than Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Cyprus and any other country with a similar population? What are you expecting from a tiny country? We have a proud European history that NO other similarly sized country has. We are a joke because other big leagues full of foreign players are crippling us with the amount of money they ludicrously splash out are we?
If they were plopped into the EPL they would become EPL teams and not remain as MLS teams .... if that were the case I think they would struggle early and eventually
The way that TV revenue is split and having some decent pocketed ownership groups in MLS could create an attractive situation for them to improve their clubs
They would lag well behind in player development, youth teams, etc - they also wouldn't be able to match the deep pocket, willing to lose a lot of $$$ players at the top of the EPL
I could see a team like Seattle struggling early - but drawing a good gate and decent share from the EPL general revenues, removing the salary constraints and providing a desireable environment that would draw some talent ....... I think if they played in the EPL under EPL rules & revenue as a member of the EPL they could settle into a consistent, mid table performer that would nip at the heels of the big dogs

I don't see what the point of comparing teams is if in your hypothetical world, the teams would simply change in their new league.
