Azteca Stadium.

Why? Simple: Brazil's terrific performance in the 1970 W.C, and Maradonna's performance in the 1986 W.C .

But the question is not what is the 'nicest', the question is what is the most iconic, Wembley is often called the 'home' of world football and is easily the most iconic football stadium (particularly the 'old' Wembley).

Getting rid of the towers at Wembley and replacing them with the St Louis arch was so disappointing. I live in Wembley and could see the towers from my window. Now you can see the arch from miles around so it has kind of lost its allure somewhat.

Most iconic stadiums are:-
1) Celtic Park
2) White Hart Lane
3) Elland Road

Why White Hart Lane and Elland Road??

Having visited most English stadia, the two noisiest I went to are now both demolished.

Victoria Ground, Stoke City.

Maine Road, Manchester City.

Strangely, Anfield was one of the quietest.

It may be different now, but in the early 90s Ibrox was buzzing, and the unreconstructed Celtic Park was a morgue.
