Takes skill to move your body like that mid air and kick the ball with enough pace to hit the net like that. Luck to find the keeper off his line like that ? Yes. Luck to finish like that? Definitely not.

My thoughts:

1. A dominant performance by Ibra, and dominant is not a term generally used for individual soccer performances.

2. It was a great goal but he was in the clear, he could swing away without concern of hitting a defender or two in the face. I would be more impressed with a bicycle-kick goal made in the box surrounded by defenders.

3. The usually neglectful-of-soccer US sports media is hyping this goal up too much... they surely haven't seen hundreds of other great goals.

It was one of the most fantastic goals I've ever seen. Still, I think the one he scored against NAC Breda was even better. But then again, I'm a sucker for dribbling goals, Maradona-style.

What a splendid gem from the days he wore Ajax colors! I knew he performed some magic whilst in Amsterdam but I had not seen that goal until just now. Thanks for posting.

Seems soccer is becoming more acrobatic again, this goal happened yesterday, almost as good as Ibra's:
