Dani Alves, Ibrahimovic (flop, but still cost money) Fabregas and Gerard Pique (from academy but had to spend millions to get them back), David Villa, Alexis Sanchez, Jordi Alba, Mascherano, Song etc all cost millions.
Tell him Paul. A lot of people think Barcelona don't spend millions on players. They are up there with other top clubs in Europe in spending big $ year after year.
So does Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Russian clubs etc.
Like Davy-040 stated many top teams develop home grown talent to blend with transfers. Look up the number of Germans on Bayern's roster and realize your blanket statement is full of moth holes.

The 'richest' clubs have ALWAYS been the most successful, its not a new concept!! Its usually the supporters of clubs that used to be far richer than the others and that now no longer have the 'monopoly' on money that are now complaining about 'money ruining football'!! lol
