He's cut it out a lot now though, he's still at least in the top 5 most gifted footballers in history, no doubt about it.

Cruyff, Eusebio, Puskas, Zico, Platini and Van Basten didn't win the World Cup.
Di Stefano and George Best never even played in the tournament.
All these players are considered top 15 best football players of all-time.

And Suarez doesn't dive half as much as Bale. Bale has been booked 6 times for diving this season. People tend to forget that.

i dont think players are anymore skillfull today but they are certainly stronger and fitter

george best was the best dribbler ive ever seen ( obviously only saw him on videos ) and was a twenty a day ciggarette man

i still think zidane is the best player ive seen in the past twenty years in terms of all round contribution to a team - game , in terms of who was the greatest ever player , i think its better to compile a top ten rather than single out one individual , heres mine in no paritcular order

maradona
pele
cryuff
zidane
ronaldo ( brazil )
ronaldo ( portugal )
messi
george best
franz beckenbaur
puskas ( hungary )

honourable mentions go to bobby charlton and eusebeo of portugal

I agree with the Brazilian Ronaldo Bob. He was something else. I will never forget how he won the world cup in 2002. Still holds the record for top scorer in the tournament to.
